For more than 21 years, David Woodard was incarcerated in St. Lucie County, Florida for a murder he did not commit. Working in partnership with the Innocence Project of Florida on a multi-year investigation, DigiStream helped uncover critical evidence supporting Mr. Woodard’s innocence. This included locating corroborating witnesses, obtaining sworn statements identifying the true suspect, and discovering previously undisclosed depositions more than 15 years after his conviction.
Combined with the dedication, advocacy, and legal strategy of the Innocence Project of Florida, this work ultimately led to Mr. Woodard’s exoneration. He is the 38th person freed with the assistance of the Innocence Project of Florida.
